Hello sunshine! I'm Melissa — a radio personality and programmer with over two decades of experience in the industry. My love for radio programming, hosting, and voiceover work has guided my journey, and I’ve been fortunate to grow alongside some incredible teams and communities. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, I now call Houston, Texas home.
My programming experience includes an Academy of Country Music Award nomination for Station of the Year and being named Programmer of the Year by the Media Alliance of Houston. Most recently, I served as Vice President of Programming for Audacy Houston, helping guide a range of radio and digital platforms. I also had the joy of joining Houstonians each afternoon as the on-air personality for KHMX.
Beyond radio, I’ve voiced a wide variety of projects — from TV spots and video games to department store campaigns, toys, and even medical devices. Voice work has been a fun and rewarding extension of my love for storytelling.Throughout my career, I’ve been humbled by the recognition my work has received, including being voted #1 Best Radio Show by Style Weekly Magazine readers for seven consecutive years, and Favorite Morning Show by the Richmond Times-Dispatch. I’ve also been honored with awards like Best Radio Duo from Richmond Magazine and Best Morning Show in Virginia from the Virginia Association of Broadcasters.
At the heart of it all, I care deeply about connection, community, and creativity. You can find me trying to navigate the wild ride of parenthood with my two kiddos, camping or covered in glitter and glue from my latest craft projects. Additionally, I enjoy spending volunteering through National Charity League. I’m always looking for meaningful ways to collaborate, inspire, and spread a little kindness along the way.
